In the world of Blanc, a local town has started getting overrun with mysterious little ball creatures. At first they were was just a minor nuisance like rats or stray dogs, but when they started spontaneously exploding, they became a major issue. The mayor decreed that all boomers found henceforth were to be buried on the spot to minimize property damage: what he didn't account for is that (when bundled together in an enclosed space) they can merge to cause even more devastation.
